About Us

Kyle Jensen is the owner and sole home inspector for HomeStart Inspections. He found a passion for the trades during high school and college while remodeling homes and apartment complexes. He received a Bachelors in Economics with Honors from Northern Illinois University in 2017. After graduation, he went on to work as an Analyst and Product Manager in banking. However, he missed having one on one interactions and personally assisting clients and decided a career change was in order. Kyle’s uncle, a home inspector with over 35 years experience, mentored him in performing detailed home inspections during 2019.  Kyle and his wife moved from Chicagoland to St. Louis in search of new opportunities and have since found a new home in St. Charles County.   After establishing a successful Home Inspection Business in Missouri, Kyle relocated to Wisconsin to be closer to family in early 2023.

Outside of inspecting homes, Kyle spends his time hiking, camping, exploring parks, and weightlifting. His other hobbies include HAM Radio, electronics, and designing and creating components using his 3D printer. He enjoys technology, such as experimenting with Linux, creating websites, and learning to program. On weekends, he enjoys brewing beer at home with his friends. Kyle was recently married and is excited to start a family. He is looking forward to investing in real estate properties and expanding HomeStart Inspections in the future. Kyle and his wife are excited to renovate a rural farm house in the near future.
